During our Skype session with Doug, I found it particularly interesting how his firm picks and chooses which companies to work with on projects. He stressed the importance of the firm and the company being a ‘good fit’ for each other. For me, the idea of having a good fit goes along with creative process. It’s much easier to come up with inspiring, creative ideas when the company or event is one you believe in or relate to.
Also, Doug mentioned that his best clients are the ones who explain their mission well and let ID29 create without getting in the way. I think this sentiment also relates to allowing for the most effective creative process for designers.
