From watching Objectified, I learned that design is not about what has happened, but about what is going to happen. The film showed how designers design for the extremes, which totally makes sense now that i think about it. If a design can work for someone with arthritis, it can work for someone without. I think I realized that I am not as cognizant to design as I thought I was. I, too, had never really though of post-its as something that was designed until it was brought up in the movie. Some objects are so well designed and necessary to our daily lives that we fail to recognize that someone actually designed that! Following, the designed spoke on our desire for constant new things. We are never satisfied with old things if something new is released. For instance, our old phones work perfectly fine but we still replace it every year and a half or so.
I enjoyed watching the film and appreciated the information that I learned from it
